The Best Supporter Thank You Letter Ever?

Craig first heard about Vida Joven from Tom Ahern's excellent newsletter. When he read about their donor communications, he decided to make a donation to see what happened. This is what he had to say…

First of all I got this lovely email from Beth from Vida Joven:

This would've been better than 90% of thank you letters I receive from charities, so I was bowled over when I also received a package in the post. Watch the video to find out what was in it.

There's loads to admire from this thank you, but the following three things stood out to me:

• The powerful language - it is all about me as a donor and the emotion I might feel for giving. For example, the use of 'overflowing with joy' in the email.
  
  

• The personalisation and little extra touches - the coloured pen, use of stickers and my name throughout.
  
  

• The powerful imagery and design that meant it felt personal and not just a standard letter.
